The Auckland Open has moved forward from its traditional mid-season slot and will be one of the first major tournaments for the season, being held from the 2-4 March at the Remuera Rackets Club. The tournament will also be a PSA Closed Satellite Event, meaning players in the Open divisions with a PSA ranking have the opportunity to earn valuable world ranking points.
The tournament will feature divisions for players of all grades and is open to any player graded A to J. A large turnout is expected with a total cash prize pool of over $6,000 on offer. The defending champions are Ben Grindrod from Tauranga and Casey Owen of Thames. Many illustrious names have been engraved on the trophies as past winners, which include Paul Coll, Joelle King, Shelley Kitchen, and Carol Owens.
Entries can be made via iSquash, with entries closing on Friday 23rd February.
