Auckland Masters Team to Defend National Title Named

A strong Auckland team has been named to compete in the Masters National Inter-District Teams Champs in Timaru from 21-22 October.  The team will be chasing a fourth consecutive title with a mix of old (both literally and figuratively) faces and new enthusiasm, with Brad Heaven (Royal Oak) and Trish Jordaan (Titirangi) both making their Auckland Masters team debuts.  The format this year includes a female player in the 60+ age group bringing the total players for the team to 12.

The players will also compete in the Masters Individual Age Group Championships from the 18-20 October, with Lisa Cowlard, Gary Duberly, Brett Meyer, and Mark Waldin also set to represent New Zealand when they face Australia in a Trans-Tasman Test series prior to the Individual Champs, also being held in Timaru.
