Auckland Masters Team Named

The Auckland Masters team to compete in the Masters National Inter-District Teams Champs in Whangarei on 19-20 October has been named and remains largely unchanged from the 2019 winning side.  New into the side will be Remuera's Rebecca Ellmers who is making her first apperance at a Masters Nationals, while former NZ rep Fiona Rouse brings even more experience to the strong lineup.

The team will be attempting to bring home the silverware for a fifth successive year, but will face strong challenges from other districts as players battle with a disrupted season. The tournament will be proceeded by the Individual Age Group Championships, also to be held at the Whangarei Squash Club from 16-18 October.

The Auckland team is;

Paul Tuffin (North Shore/Kumeu)
Craig Stratford (Remuera)
Julian Conder (Titirangi)
Gary Duberly (North Shore)
Brett Meyer (Warkworth)
Mark Waldin (Team Captain - North Shore)
Roger Garrett (Remuera)

Rebecca Ellmers (Remuera)
Fiona Rouse (Remuera/Warkworth)
Suk Hee Kim (North Shore)
Juli Voykovic (Franklin)
Lisa Cowlard (North Shore)
Alessandra Ceriani (North Shore)
Christine Ewart (Royal Oak)

All Masters players aged 35 and over are welcome to enter the individual championships.  Competition will be played in five-year age brackets from 35+ up to 75+.  Entries can be made via iSquash and close on Friday 4th October.
